Don't even pay attention to that. Weather out here likes to change at the last minute, so bring an umbrella, a winter coat, and shorts.

Yeah, it's much too early to get a good idea about what it'll be like around here.

MELANIE CRUISE AND MISS NATURAL ADDED TO BERWYN TAPINGS!SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES is proud announce the addition of MELANIE CRUISE and MISS NATURAL to the SHIMMER 54-57 tapings on April 13th & 14th at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL, only 10 days away! Melanie Cruise is one of the few Chicago natives on the SHIMMER roster, and has been a part of our events in Berwyn since very early in her professional wrestling career. Over the years, Melanie has certainly grown as an athlete before the eyes of the SHIMMER fans. She had the valuable experience of receiving instruction from "The Croatian Panther" Wesna Busic for a brief period of time, as Wesna helped Melanie fine tune her game, to make best use of the size advantage which she enjoys against virtually all of her opponents. Cruise later went on to team with Mena Libra as an intimidating tag team force, before returning to the singles ranks once again at our last set of tapings. One of Cruise's most impressive outings thus far was her SHIMMER 50 match against Hiroyo Matsumoto. It was that match which opened a lot of people's eyes around the world to the even further heights which Melanie Cruise could take her career during the years to come. Veteran competitor Miss Natural returned to the SHIMMER roster during late 2012, following an initial stint in 2008. Shortly after those first SHIMMER appearances, Natural took a hiatus from the sport, but has since returned to a full schedule, regularly competing in rings throughout the central United States. With the benefit of learning under both Ken Patera and Harley Race, Natural is a no nonsense athlete with all the tools to get the job done in the ring. She proved as much during our last set of tapings, scoring three victories against opponents much newer to the game than she, utilizing her Natural Disaster (bridging fisherman's neckbreaker) to put them down for the three count. Next weekend in Berwyn, Natural looks to continue that momentum. Guess Melanie must have recovered from her concussion quicker than first thought. She was originally ruled out past SHIMMER.

Sorry for the noob question here, but will be autograph signings and the like at the tapings? I would very much like to get some of the wrestlers to sign Shimmer 50, and of course, totally down with buying their t-shirts and other merchandise.

Indeed, there's usually about 15-20 minutes inbetween tapings both days to get merch from the wrestlers. Be warned that intermission is notoriously hectic and crowded.

Deeb vs. Havok. I was excited before. I'm mega excited now. One thing I'm genuinely curious about is the crowd reaction. Because (in recent memory anyway) I can't remember a wrestler more in demand for SHIMMER than Havok. So she finally makes her long-awaited debut and sets her sights on arguably the most beloved SHIMMER competitor of all time. So with the excitement of Havok finally debuting, will the crowd be cheering her more than Serena? That's something I'm very curious to find out about next weekend.

I'm apathetic to her at best, so Serena all the way.

I expect Evie to really come out of this weekend strong. Her bits in the 5 way were all great and getting her into some regular 1 on 1's will give her plenty of time to show her stuff. I got a hunch she will be a really big deal in SHIMMER going forward.
As will Havok. At some point, Havok vs Eagles or Havok vs Cruise should happen. Both would be amazing. I know it wouldn't make sense storyline wise, but they'd both be great matches.
