MERCEDES MARTINEZ ADDED TO ALL APRIL SHIMMER EVENTS!

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES is proud announce the addition of "The Latina Sensation" MERCEDES MARTINEZ to all of our April events!

Mercedes Martinez is one of the SHIMMER originals who participated in the very first SHIMMER event in 2005. Mercedes helped put the promotion on the map with her exceptional in-ring skills, as her early rivalry with Sara Del Rey caught the attention of wrestling fans throughout the globe. Subsequent battles against the likes of LuFisto, Wesna Busic, Cheerleader Melissa, Amazing Kong, Ayako Hamada, and countless others helped solidify her position as one of the elite athletes in professional wrestling.

Martinez began to show a more aggressive side and willingness to break the rules during her more recent series of bouts against Athena and fellow SHIMMER original MsChif. Mercedes feels she is at the top of her game in 2013. She will be a part of SHIMMER 53 on April 6th in Secaucus, NJ, as well as SHIMMER 54-57 on April 13th & 14th in Berwyn, IL!

SHIMMER Women Athletes returns to the Berwyn Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL on Saturday & Sunday, April 13th & 14th, 2013. Volumes 54-57 of the SHIMMER series will be filmed during the course of that weekend.

Tickets for the April 13th & 14th events are now on sale. Front row reserved seating for Saturday, April 13th is already SOLD OUT. One front row seat remains available for Sunday, April 14th. It is priced at $80 for the full day of taping (Vols. 56 & 57). Please E-mail [e-mail] right away if you are interested in it.

JESSIE McKAY ADDED TO ALL APRIL SHIMMER EVENTS!

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES is proud announce the addition of "Everybody's Favorite Girlfriend" JESSIE McKAY to all of our April events! Jessie will be a part of SHIMMER 53 on April 6th as part of WrestleCon at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ, as well as SHIMMER 54-57 on April 13th & 14th at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL!

After a one year absence from SHIMMER competition, Jessie McKay will make her return in less than six weeks. Jessie made her arrival in SHIMMER during 2008, initially as part of a tag team unit with fellow Sydney, Australia native and mentor Madison Eagles. McKay went on to build a singles career for herself over the next several years, with strong outings against the likes of Cheerleader Melissa, Sara Del Rey, Tomoka Nakagawa, Ayako Hamada, and a fantastic series of bouts against fierce rival Nicole Matthews.

Perhaps McKay's most memorable SHIMMER contest was the main event of SHIMMER 35, challenging Eagles for the SHIMMER Championship. It has been widely praised as one of the most exciting SHIMMER Title matches in company history.

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES is proud announce the addition of "The World Famous" KANA to all of our April events! Kana will be a part of SHIMMER 53 on April 6th as part of WrestleCon at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ, as well as SHIMMER 54-57 on April 13th & 14th at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL!

Kana is one of the most skilled, and also one of the most feared wrestlers on the face of the planet. With a devastating arsenal of kicks and deadly submission technique, Kana has quickly become a major player in SHIMMER competition since her arrival during late 2011.

Kana has gone to war inside the squared circle against the very best SHIMMER has to offer, including the likes of Sara Del Rey, Cheerleader Melissa, Mercedes Martinez, and the woman who later went on to become her tag team partner, LuFisto. Kana has split her SHIMMER duties between singles and tag team competition as of late. Her combination with LuFisto has proven to be quite a successful tandem.

During late 2012, Kana's main event bout against Ayako Hamada from SHIMMER 50 earned Match of the Year honors based on www.SHIMMERwrestling.com fan voting. Every time Kana steps into the ring, she gives it her all. We are honored to have one of the elite athletes in professional wrestling back in the SHIMMER ring for all of our upcoming events.
