This week's PPH Pro-Wrestling edition is booked by Dr. Keith Lipinski. The doctor is back from his honeymoon in the Dominican Republic and brings us a 3 1/2-hour bonanza blowout.
We kick off this week's show with co-hosts Adam Summers & Zach Arnold discussing the NOAH 12/4 Yokohama Bunka Gym show. We cover Taue's title defense and discuss the upcoming Taue vs. Akiyama GHC Title match on 1/22/2006 at Nippon Budokan. Will fans care about Akiyama in the title match? How will the booking play out? Is NOAH getting a free pass from Internet fans? We cover all the angles and some of our answers might surprise you.
The charismatic James Guttman from www.worldwrestlinginsanity.com introduces a brand new segment on the PPH show. James talks about the upcoming WWE PPV on 12/18 (so you don't have to watch it). He addresses other American wrestling topics. James is a big fan of feedback, so send him your letters to james@worldwrestlinginsanity.com.
Dr. Keith returns! Yes, really. He and Adam cover the 2005 Real World/Strongest Tag League in All Japan, as Team 3D went through the tournament and won all their matches. Team 3D has won all of their 15 tag matches in the All Japan ring. Who will be able to challenge them? What will happen to the singles division?
We continue the All Japan discussion in a second segment, talking about the recent departures from the company (Jamal to WWE, Giant Bernard to New Japan, and Akebono back to MMA). Can All Japan survive or is the death watch on? Dr. Keith and Adam give their predictions.
This week's first guest interview features Adam Summers talking to the lovely Allison Danger. Listen to Allison expose Adam's fingernail polish fetish and squirm! Allison talks about her overseas travels as a wrestler in Japan, South Korea, and Hawaii. Does she consider herself a manager first, then wrestler, or vice versa? She gives her take on where her career is heading and what she thinks of the SHIMMER women's wrestling project. Plus, as an additional bonus (absolutely free), Allison & Adam (they sound like such a lovely couple) discuss Gilmore Girls. Not for the faint of heart, people...
The wacky duo of Bryan Alvarez & Vinny Verhei (ex-President of New Japan) of www.f4wonline.com fame are back this week... what can we say? B & V discuss Tyra Banks, Brock Lesnar vs. WWE, Vinny's hatred of the legal system (plus a comment about Zach's perspective on pro-wrestling), and Sting returning to TNA.
Dr. Keith is back from his honeymoon with a book report. Instead of listening to Keith talk about the new Turning the Tables book (on ECW), he decided to call up John Lister of www.turningthetables.co.uk and talk to the author of the book in one hell of an entertaining interview. If you were a fan of ECW, then you will be very proud to listen to this audio segment.
Dr. Keith, Adam, and Mike Sempervive close out the show discussing Pro Wrestling Guerilla, Hustle love, and the diseases Keith picked up from his vacation in DR. Really. I do not endorse this.
The PPH is a weekly-produced audio show on www.puroresupower.com with two separate brands (Pro-Wrestling & MMA). To send us feedback, send us a note at pphradio@hotmail.com whether it's positive or negative. Want to become a sponsor? Contact us at the same e-mail address.
