They were all really good but Solo's was the best by a mile.

Solo's was so appropriately weird - it was very cool.
Shine 20 was pretty dang good. The tag-team 4-corners match was hurt by transportation problems - no Cherry Bomb, so Kimber Lee fought by herself, becoming an instant fan favorite in doing so. Shanna vs La Rose Negra was VERY good, so good and so hard-hitting that it made the Havok/Kay match the weakest on the card for me. That Havok/Kay match was a Last Woman Standing match, which implies that it's going to be the most hard-hitting match on the card - it needed to be in order to be special, and since it didn't have the work rate, and wasn't as believably hard-hitting as the earlier match, it was like, "ho hum, another brawl". I was worried that Shine wouldn't continue Su Yung's utterly compelling tortured character from Shine 19, since her opponent wasn't involved in the earlier matches. But they did - Su Yung continues to amaze me in her character work and storytelling. She's great and I thought that match was great. I won't even say who won the tag-team championship match - I'll just say that it's a must-see match with great work by everyone involved. The main event between Ivelisse and Serena Deeb definitely lived up to expectations. Both women are truly excellent. I think the officiating would have been more believable if there were less blatant interference by April Hunter directly in front of the refs eyes, but that's a minor criticism in another winner of a show by Shine.

I didn't mind the Havok/AK47 match as much, though I did think it was a weird choice to lead into a singles title match that also took its time telling a story. Thankfully the Orpheum is big enough to accommodate a cage, if needed. There needs to be a decisive solution that isn't AK running away for half the match again.
Personally I thought the tag title match was the shits. I thought the whole idea was that Made in Sin were the true contenders in waiting, but AK had to shake Havok first (hence why Taylor went over in the 5 v 5 match). Having a sloppy match is fine, but this was a sloppy match that resulted from bad thinking.

Absolutely amazing endurance by Velez and Deeb, especially considering the room temperature. Lenny didn't need to say anything, you could see just how sweaty Serena's hair and body looked. It's just a shame that the fans weren't conditioned to how long they were going, but given the heat, it was sort of understandable that they flagged a bit. However, in a genre of professional wrestling where it's a novel thing for women to wrestle for over 10 minutes, the fact that Velez and Deeb went 60, and maintained an incredible performance throughout is a major credit to them. I wonder if they go another 60, and we get our female Joe vs. Punk rivalry?
Elsewhere, the best match on the undercard once again was La Rosa Negra and Shanna - something about those two has just clicked both times, and their match was arguably more hard hitting than even Havok and AK47. Not a massive fan of how the tag title picture played out, hopefully this is just transitional. And given that the Kimber Bombs are meant to be a cutesy heel tag team, having Kimber Lee out there by herself and the way she performed ended up turning her complete babyface. Will be interesting to see the dynamics with her and Cherry Bomb the next time they're together in SHINE.

I was surprised at the tweets I saw that said they didn't like the main event. The story over the 60 minutes was great, and I found it thoroughly absorbing.
Disliked both tag team matches, and thought the title match was a disjointed mess, and I'm really hoping that Kay v Havok concludes on the next show so both can move on to other stuff. I'm not sure how much either has benefited from this feud, which has been going on for 8 months now.
Su Yung's character is brilliant, Shanna v La Rosa Negra was great and Candice LeRae continues to impress in new promotions. Amber O'Neal's heel turn bodes well for her too, as she's been somewhat of a spare part since the American Sweethearts split up.

Has a date for the next event been announced? Can't seem to find it anywhere and would love to get out there to catch a show.

Slammin' Ladies custom roster is out for August, which could well be the SHINE roster.
*SHINE Champion Ivelisse Velez *SHINE Tag Team Champions Brandi Wine and Malia Hosaka *Allysin Kay *Jessicka Havok *Tracy Taylor *Su Yung *Solo Darling *Thunderkitty *La Rosa Negra *April Hunter *Jayme Jameson *Leva Bates *Mia Yim *Leah Von Dutch *Kimber Lee *Jessie Belle Smothers *Marti Belle *Nevaeh *Amazing Kong *Justine Silver *Sojo Bolt
Given the new promo that ran on IMPACT last night, I'd imagine this would be Havok's last SHINE.

Nice to see Jayme potentially back in Shine. She was impressive in the beginning of the promotion.

There will be a four way at SHINE 21 between Amazing Kong, Nevaeh, Leah Von Dutch and Su Yung, where the winner will challenge Ivelisse Velez for the SHINE Title in the main event.
