That could have been starred out for this PG board, you know...

^ Anything PG rated needed to be drug into the street and shot in the head. Figuratively speaking of course.
I do tend to agree that crowd chants during wrestling shows are pretty annoying (My least favorite would have to be "[INSERT WRESTLER NAME HERE]'S GONNA KILL YOU!"), but it's kind of like telling all of the other wrestling fans not to have a good time so you won't be so annoyed.
Some people want to chant, and yell, and behave stupidly; and as much as it might annoy me: I can't judge them for that. Stupid behavior is necessary sometimes.
BTW That is an awesome pic of Kellie, even with her looking all bruised up and so forth.

I feel your pain while annoying fans are the minority, it is without fail that I manage to pick seats near imbeciles. This weekend I was near some guys who kept saying stupid, immature and sexist things and then try and validate it to people around them that 'It's okay, we're friends with [insert wrestler who they probably met at intermission]'. Also I may just be a grouch but I don't get the whole constant chanting of 'Yes!'. I know it's something WWE related and it gives me a headache.

Honestly, maybe somebody needs to make a scene if something gets under their skin that much. Being diplomatic only goes so far. If we want a less annoying crowd at the show, it might be well-served to turn towards the person or persons being regularly annoying and telling them to shut the **** up. Sometimes people are entirely oblivious that what they're doing annoys the people around them or that their process of entertaining themselves distracts from what everyone else paid to see, for whatever reason, and the only way they're going to find that out is to hit them with it, directly, at the time they're doing it. Such a path will likely result in some hurt feelings, but life isn't always lollipops, rainbows and Yumi Ohka matches. I've found that people will do things until they know they can't get away with it, don't let them get away with tarnishing your SHIMMER experience.

It's never bothered my experience, it's more sad than anything.

We were sitting in seats 3 & 4, the annoying assholes were primarily directly behind and across the aisle from us. Stupid chants, atrocious puns, pretty much everything mentioned. Two tapings in a row last year, we literally told them to shut the **** up... So, that doesn't work.

Didn't see Sunday's volumes. Not sure how I feel about Skater going face. She's been such an entertaining heel to watch thus far (and she's even stated that role is more fun) and became instantly one of my favorites in Shimmer. But, the woman has talent and has been gaining valuable experience (and taking a real beating in the process), so even if she completely loses the cocky in-ring attitude, she may still win me over as a fan. Either way, good luck to her! (and get well soon) Everyone who saw it, enjoyed it. Greatly. Her near victory ranks up there among the all time most exciting moments in company history. To me it felt very much like when Serena finally beat Del Rey on volume 22 (even though Skater didn't actually win, obviously). Certainly "A Moment" and something I will remember for years. Oh and far as her "losing the cocky in-ring attitude" goes, I'm fairly sure she'll still be quite confident in her own abilities

Skater's dialed her mannerisms back enough so that now she's just got a lot of babyface fire and confidence instead of cocky boastfulness. She's still sure of her abilities, she's just not patting herself on the back about it every chance she gets anymore. It's a subtle change but an effective one that's really made her one of the top faces in the company now.

Honestly, it wasn't even really that she "became" a face, it kinda just happened. Although, I guess the way Vol. 51's Main Event went down, it was almost assured to happen. Cause, we still had all the fun we usually did with her, but instead of getting angry, she just embraced it a little more, lol. That's cool, thanks for explaining. I'm just glad to hear she won't get boring even if she goes straight edge. *** I actually got into a bit of an argument with the guy I was sitting next to a bit over stuff like this (sorry for anyone who heard us, it was short). Basically I feel like a heel or a face has to earn that designation with the crowd/fans and a change even more so. I think their performance should speak for itself, especially when we don't have a live announce team telling us how to react. If it all has to be done through plants in the audience I can understand it if they don't have the time to create more videos or whatnot, but it's far less effective I feel. On a related note: when it comes to people who debut on Shimmer or who haven't been seen in awhile, how are we supposed to know how to react? Is it just if they high five somebody on their way in that they're good and they're bad if not? Because I see crowd reactions, but if you're not seeing their initial entrance it's easy to miss. Looking back at some early Shimmer volumes, it seemed like there were several heels who just walked in straight to attract boos, that was it. They didn't do anything. Other people walk in and get cheered even if they don't slap a single hand. I remember back in the day there was a discussion on here about "heel marks" and that sort of (people cheering for the "wrong") folks. I know with the WWE stuff people complain about the company trying to force stuff down the audience's throat. I know they have a story to tell and best laid plans, all that, I just think the idea of having characters form organically and the company taking note of reactions to guide things sounds a lot better. Re: Cuda's rant about the annoying fan interaction: WHAT? YES!YES!YES! J/k ;p Yeah, that could be dialed down a bit with no loss for most of us. This was only my third live show so I'm probably not as sick of it as some people already. Just my thoughts atm anyway. If I didn't enough already, great job to Dave & co. and all the talent for a great weekend!

Personally, I mostly agree the fact that Melissa has gotten a bit off in her ring-work, but please don't sit there and unappreciate the fact that she has been in SHIMMER for all 52 volumes.
If turning her heel would help, then what about her loyal fans who supported her over the years?
I think she should retool her skills and be back in better form in 2013.

Saturday was my first show so the crowds really didn't bother me at all, but I could see how it would get annoying pretty quickly. I will admit that I busted out laughing at that guy who shouted "HUSSY!" at Saraya during the elimination match. (I'll also admit that I thought it was hilarious that people would call Saraya "grandma" and I'm three months older than she is.)

Shouting "Grandma" at Saraya goes as far as sullying Britani, so I disapprove of that chant.

Plus, it's a chant that just makes everyone else on the roster look worse since they're so much younger than Saraya and yet she's got the belt and is beating all these younger, arguably more athletic and better conditioned girls. So go ahead, keep calling her grandma. It just makes everyone younger than her look bad since they can't beat her.
