SHIMMER needs Lin Bairon for these tapings, her and SDR or be alongside Mercedes to feud w/Athena and beyond like Nakagawa was to Daizee Haze.

Is there potential of a slightly later start time on Saturday? Planning on staying downtown Friday to partake in some of the morning festivities and I'm guessing traffic is horrendous.

Suck it up. You can sober up and arrive by 1.

I'm good on the sober/straightedge front, just curious as to how downtown traffic will be on that saturday morning.

I'm good on the sober/straightedge front, just curious as to how downtown traffic will be on that saturday morning. It depends where you are. A good chunk of streets will be blocked off in the actual Loop area. If you're staying anywhere else you should be fine, esp. on the expressways. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. (fun fact: I have been on a float in the St. Patrick's Day parade downtown. It is quite the view.)

Oh right, that whole thing. The venue is probably no more than 15 miles away from wherever you're staying, so I'd say, worst case scenerio, it'll take no more than 90 minutes to get there.

Chicagoland traffic is an interesting animal I have occasionally studied but don't fully understand. And when I might start to understand it, there's a random detour because the street I intend to take is closed down at 12:30pm on a Sunday for some unknown reason.

This is definitely the best chance I have to go (near future wise), but having to most likely go alone is dreading me a little. Hmm... Does anyone know how old you need to be to rent a room at the Rodeway Inn? Hopefully it's not 21.

I wouldn't dread going by yourself, I've gone to a few tapings by myself since my friends don't like wrestling (idiots ;D ) and the crowd is nice and easy to get along with. Plus it's the Chicago area, there's plenty to do.

To be honest I'm not the best person at socializing.

I suppose I should start the next travel thread so we can help you out. Not a bit soon for that? To better put it, I'm not the kind of person to go up to people and start talking to them, unless I need to. I'll talk to people if they approach me, no problem. The crowd is probably going to think I'm 15 lol.
