Yes, we need to talk about how fraking awesome this match was. Length was irrelevant due to SDR's constant brutality.

Was great to see Jamilia on HDNet again, short but fun bout with Sara. Always enjoy when a women's match gets on the show, always a highlight.

I dunno, to call a spade a spade, poor Jamilia was squashed. I get that Del Rey is just plain brilliant, but from a continuity/chronological perspective it was as if Jamilia took a step backwards. She was respectable in her first outing versus Haze yet didn't get in barely any offence here at all.
Perhaps if the match order had of been reversed then it would have provided a better indication of just how far Jamilia Craft has come in her first year. And then, you could always play up that she had nerves on her first TV bout hence her getting overwhelmed by Del Rey.
I do appreciate though that ROH were probably looking at the bigger picture to show just how dominant Del Rey can be by showcasing her to highlight & hype the SDR/Kong match this past weekend.
The above shouldn't be taken as criticism of either talent, both did their assigned roles professionally and it was a solid match, with one hoping they decide to reuse Jamilia Craft again in the future. Episode was really enjoyable on the whole with that absolutely mental Anything Goes tag main event.

These matches weren't a year apart, Craft is still being introduced. Now the purpose of the SDR match was clearly not to highlight anything about Craft, but to show off Del Rey as she went into a huge weekend with Kong. Mission freaking accomplished.

Besides that, most ROH womens' matches are like that. I don't know why the outcome would need to be any different.

I don't ever see any of the women getting real pushes on ROH tv other then Del Rey or Haze. The rest of them are usually used for nothing more then fodder to feed to Haze & Del Rey.

Maybe the best part of the match that doesn't involve a kick is Hog threatening DP, "I can't wait to get to the back and tell Sara you said she had a 'size advantage.'"
LOL.
