4. DAFFNEY defeated NEVAEH with a cheap roll-up after taking advantage of the referee. How Freudian... lol.

Don't think I've replied on here yet, but suffice to say, I had an awesome time at the shows. It was my first time at Shimmer, and in the US in general, but it was a great overall experience and I look forward to coming back next year. I think my favourite match of the four shows was Jessie McKay vs. Madison Eagles, and I've come out of the weekend as a huge fan of Madison, Tomoka Nakagawa and Athena.
Having seen the Sparkle match online, I can see all four girls doing well in the future as well, really liked Mia Yim and Mena Libra's work with each other. It came across better on film than live, which bodes well for the DVD release!
Afterparty was a lot of fun as well, both night, especially the Sunday night one.

She is Daizee Haze's third student, so she appears on Pro Wrestling Respect. She uses the name "Bonesaw" Jessie Brook there (not Brooks). At SHIMMER, Joey Eastman only announced her as Bonesaw, likely because one of the newest main eventers that weekend is named Jessie.

Taking out the "Jessie", Bonesaw Brooks would be a pretty cool old school name.

For anyone who's interested and isn't on MsChif's forum, she posted an update on her injury:
Good to hear that surgery isn't needed.

Glad to hear that. But, still... that laundry list of tears and fractures... dang!

One thing I forgot to ask for anyone who went to the tapings last month were any of the matches better than the Hamada/Del Rey match in your opinion?

Hamada/Del Rey was a great brawl. In some ways, I liked Eagles/McKay and the SHIM-vivor Series match more, but for entirely different reasons than why I liked Hamada/Del Rey.

Maybe it was just the whole being in person thing but I definitely thought Eagles/McKay, Hamda/Del Rey/McKay and SHIM-vivor Series all blew Hamada/Del Rey out of the water (which I first watched on DVD).

I was there live for all of the above, and I felt like nothing topped Hamada/Del Rey during the last taping. That isn't a knock on anything that happened at the last tapings. The Shimvivor Series match especially had some of the most intense heat for anything I've ever seen at SHIMMER. The dvd's are must buys. But at the end of Hamada/Del Rey my jaw was slack, and I felt like I had seen one of the 3-4 best matches I've ever seen live.

It's been 6-7 weeks since the taping. I wonder how the DVD production is going...
