In no particular order: Shim-vivor - The pace was insane! Everyone in the crowd marked out so hard for this match. It was the perfect way to end the event. Ninjas vs. RaJett - Both teams are faves of mine, and the ninja trickery was priceless! Summerlyn vs. Daffney - The story of the match was compelling. I was booing and cheering like crazy. McKay vs. Del Rey vs. Hamada - thrilling Eagles vs. McKay - They work together so well. Excellent match. A couple more, though I could go on. There were very many great moments. Kong vs. Skater - the hilarious bravado of Skater flexing in Kong's face (and what followed) might just be the ultimate expression of Rate Tank. Martinez vs. Ohata - Martinez held Ohata up for what, 30 seconds? Amazing. Heel Haze really worked. When I saw the turn on DVD, I was unsure about it, but this weekend I bought it 100%, and never more so than when she and Nakagawa took on Roxx and Ariel. How over was Leva? I'm surprised she wasn't carried on the shoulders of the crowd all the way to 3910! She came, she cosplayed, she conquered!

Is there some kind of compendium of these shots for every volume? I imagine they'd make fun comparison.

I think I'm going to go with:
Madison Eagles vs. Jessie McKay Tomoko Nakagawa vs. Ayako Hamada Shim-vivor Series Madison Eagles vs. Cheerleader Melissa Sara Del Rey vs. Ayako Hamada vs. Jessie McKay
This was my first Shimmer weekend and it was really a great time. I've been meaning to come for a while and I'm glad I finally made it. I think I'll be back. I honestly don't think I've ever watched that much wresting in a 24-hour period. Going in, I thought it might be an overload, but it kept my interest the whole time.
Lots of good wrestling up and down the cards. I thought Hamada really stood out this weekend. Eagles, McKay, Bates and Summerlyn were a few folks that I wasn't very familiar with before the shows started, but I was pretty impressed by.
By the way, the Eagles Club is only 15 minutes or so away from Frank Llyod Wright's studio and a bunch of houses he designed. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something to do before the tapings one morning.

1) Jessie McKay - Sara Del Rey - Ayako Hamada. This edges out #2 because of the great 3-way spots.
2) Jessie-McKay - Madison Eagles. No huge surprise these two worked beautifully together.
3) Tomoko Nakagawa vs. Ayako Hamada
4) Madison Eagles - Melissa
5) Jessie McKay - Nicole Matthews
Honorable Mention - Ayako Hamada- Nicole Matthews; Melissa - Nakagawa; Serena Deeb - Kellie Skater.

It's too bad Sassy Stephie wasn't in the picture. I know an injury kept her off the card, but she was still there and it would've been nice to see her in the official group shot.

It really hit me looking at the group picture just now: The evolution of Melissa's abs over the course of SHIMMER history is a site to behold.
It's like she struck a deal with the devil in which, though she ages, her midsection gets younger with each passing year.

I tend to like undercard matches more than the average dude, so here's my list:
1. Hamada vs. Nakagawa--five-star match in my opinion. Nakagawa's stock rose sky-high because of this match and she cracked my "top three favorite Shimmer stars" (Del Rey and Melissa are the other two)
2. Hamada vs Del Rey vs McKay--these three did an excellent, excellent job. Lots of high spots to go around. Very entertaining match.
3. Eagles vs McKay--I'm not the biggest McKay fan...well, I wasn't until this match. Backstory, high spots, strategy, it had it all.
4. Nakagawa & Haze vs. Roxx & Ariel--super heel tactics! Tickles, trash-talk, and a sandwich as a foreign object. What more could you ask for?
5. Del Rey vs. Nevaeh--I really can't understand why Nevaeh doesn't get over more than she does. This was a decent match with a sudden, cool ending. Well, part of why this cracked the top five is because I mark for Del Rey.
I'm not putting the much-beloved Shim-vivor Series match in the top five because, frankly, I didn't like it. After the rivals got to tease the fans with glimpses of their rivalry and after the awesome to-the-outside top-rope moves, the match deteriorated (the 7-woman ddt excluded). Women were eliminated too quick and it seemed as if the match should've gone longer.
I know, I'm in the minority in not loving the elimination-tag match. And I know Dave asked for the TOP five, but hey. He can take my opinion for what it's worth...and it's not worth much.

I had to say that I LOVED the SHIMvivor series match...it literally gave me goosebumps it was so exciting and entertaining. The same goes for the Hamada, Del Rey, Mckay match the night before.
The Hamada vs. Matthews was another top one for me...it's great to see Nicole hold her own against a legend!
Eagles vs. Mckay was another standout that exceeded expectations!
Skater vs. Deeb was a blast as well as Skater vs. Kong...I just love how Skater truly believes that she is indestructable! When she escaped from the powerbomb and posed instead of capitalizing on the reversal cracked me up!
I had the best time EVER this last weekend!!!
If I ever have any doubts Shimmer reminds me of why I LOVE wrestling!

In no particular order:
The Shim-vivor Series, if for no other reason than I've been waiting for it for a very long time and the wait was well worth it.
I can't pick just one, so I have to go with all 3 of Leva's matches as my next vote because they were all fun to watch.
Rachel Summerlyn vs. Death Rey where I believe Rachel squashed any doubts about whether or not she belongs in Shimmer.
Eagles vs. McKay due to the absolutely solid work by both ladies.
and even though it probably won't end up on the DVD since Teneille had another match later in the same volume and it ended strangely, I thought that Daizee vs. Teneille was great if for no other reason than it contained some of Daizee's best smack talking to the crowd. Go in the kitchen and make her a sandwich.

Hamada was a riot this weekend. Her photo-bombing that spot during the Shim-vivor Series was priceless. That was freakin' sweet. What made it even better was when Hamada gets back to the outside, Melissa is just absolutely cracking up in their corner
