I just got my copy of SHIMMER vol. 23 and saw Kellie's debut match against LuFisto, man does she look different today. I also saw Kellie do a pretty cool aerial move in that match and it occurs to me that she doesn't really ever do aerial moves anymore. I wonder why.

Yeah, Air Skater, the rope walk hurricanrana. It's purely conjecture on my part, but I think she wanted to change her style to be more striking and ground based, so she phased that move out.

^ I would agree with that. I do think she does aerial moves pretty well though, so it'd be cool to see in the future. That, and some kind of big finisher. The Skate N' Destroy is Okay, but I think Kellie could use a much bigger finishing move.

I always hoped she'd start to utilize the submission finisher that she used on the PWWA Last Woman Standing tourney DVD.

From comedy whipping girl to bona fide main eventer in three years. What a remarkable job Kellie Skater has done.

I must say that I thought she was superb the first time I saw her. I'm really happy to see her getting the push in SHIMMER. Hopefully the momentum keeps going into the next set of tapings in April.

I firmly believe that had Skater pulled out the victory in that fourway that we may have just blown the roof off the place. I've only been to 3 SHIMMER weekends total so my pool that I'm drawing from isn't as deep as others but I do believe that during that final fall between her and Saraya was one of the most nuclear, white-hot crowds that I've ever experienced in the Eagles Club. Skater's star didn't just rise this weekend, it got loaded into a high-velocity cannon and shot into the deep unknown. And I truly can not think of anyone who deserved it more.

I'm not gonna lie, during that match, I was starting to get the feeling that Skater may actually pull it off, even if it was with Melissa's help or something. These tapings were a complete turning point for SKater, and April's tapings should be just awesome for Rate Tank. She proved she belongs with the big dogs last weekend, and I don't see her going anywhere but up, even to a title run in the future. Definitely an awesome job.

IF Madison is back at SHIMMER in April, I really wouldn't mind seeing a little feud/and or match between her and Skater during that weekend.

Here's what separates people like me from warrior mutants like Skater. After spending the past three weeks halfway around the world getting her ass beaten and getting badly ill in the process, Skater flies back home yesterday. Where is she today? Right back at her "real" job, despite being jetlagged to hell and back. She really is a tank.
