Obsessed With Wrestling is probably the top website for wrestling information and I like their columns alot and ofcourse many of them deal with the WWE-the major money maker where most people today in the wrestling business would like to end up being employed.I looked at this review and I thought the author made alot of good comments concerning the DVD`s.I bought 1 & 2 but not 3. As far as looking at the camera by the girls,I did not have a problem with that probably because I watched alot of wrestling that goes way back to grade school(thats where all the good stuff was) where wrestling was more the main focus for both men & women. But I agree with the author, today you have to try & sell yourself especially if you want into the WWE.As far as Daizee Haze being in the main event all the time, for me it depends on who the other person is she is wrestling and how they relate to each other that sets up a main event. So I would say she relates pretty good to alot of different girls and their styles of wrestling. Not only that,I look at her as a fitness model(the real deal as compared to the WWE and their Playboy types) who can fly & also take alot of punishment in the ring for long periods of time(without getting injured unlike some of the WWE girls who do get injured sometimes because they do not belong in a wrestling ring). She represents alot of what Shimmer is all about as far as her wrestling style goes.As far as looks(cloths & that kind of stuff),she is selling to the older crowd that go back to the 60`s & 70`s and I don`t think the WWE would want to pick up on that in their story lines.Actually,I would like to see her go more for the younger crowd as a wrestling model(for one thing she is not old and goodlooking, definitely marriage material if still single) compared to what the WWE has to offer.I`m sure even more younger people who watch WWE would switch over to Shimmer, come to the shows, etc. and take alook at her.It looks like APW is trying to do that and she did win CF6.But I have to agree with the author on Anderson as being the best especially with the variety of matches she does.As far as pure wrestling goes, its Yoshida for me(looking forward to Yoshida & CF3 & comments by Anderson- hot stuff in & out of a wrestling ring).I have to agree with the author about Rain, she is very goodlooking. What I would like to see APW do is get Anderson to do interviews of her match with say someone like Haze close to prime time on TV in the Bay area. And I think thats how you get wall to wall people at the next show, plus Anderson would become even more popular in the Bay area(who needs WWE).I know thats how The Crusher did it in the Milwaukee area even though he did wrestle in other companies like WWF for example. He would always be back in Milwaukee to wrestle & have interviews when most people are watching TV.Milwaukee was a big wrestling town when the old AWA was around and there was alot of free wrestling shows from all over the country. For me Texas wrestling from Houston was the best especially when Texas NWA Champ June Byers(she was something else) was interviewed or was on the TV card for the night. And these shows were all shown at night during prime time, sometimes they would last an hour or even longer. If you want to check out a good article on The Crusher & Milwaukee, thats also on Obsessed With Wrestling,go to columns,to December 12,2005 called How`Bout Dat?And check out what old school is all about.WWE is going to release a DVD on the AWA in November & I am sure The Crusher is going to be in it somewhere maybe from some Milwaukee show. And I also hope Penny Banner(she was something else also) is on it somewhere.
