And there was a picture on either hers or Danger's MySpaces of Danger's head becoming very well acquainted with the guard rail as well. Melissa's a brute.

We don't want to see blood matches in Shimmer...period!! Shimmer to me embodies superb women wrestlers wrestling excellent, pure technical wrestling matches without the need for gimmicks, gratuitous violence, and other unnecessary fluff. Blood baths run counter to that philosophy.

Blood in a hard fought match is not "gratuitous".

I can sympathize when it's an ultrahardcore promotion but when it's in between..it's ok. It's not like there's Lightube or Barbed Wire matches here.........

While I admit that the sight of a woman bleeding in a match does leave me feeling slightly uncomfortable (Is that a sexist double standard since it's fine with the men? Should gender equality only go so far? I don't know the answer to that) sometimes sh!t happens. I can think of at least three Shimmer matches that involved colour by whatever means and it wasn't the end of the world. As bmistress said we're not taking about the deathmatch promotions where you have everybody blading in every single match and you have an endless array of stupid (and dangerous) weapons for no reason. If blood was deemed absolutely necessary for how a match was presented by Dave or Allison then I wouldn't have a problem. Trish2 seems to be overreacting to a degree; in my opinion at least the blood certainly added to the drama of Melissa/MsChif. I also disagree with Trish2 attempting to group us all together under the same umbrella by saying "we" don't want to see blood in Shimmer. Unless you're going to conduct a poll please don't try to speak for us all.

I wouldn't like to see a woman wearing the full crimson mask. Would be very uncomfortable viewing.

It's supposed to be uncomfortable. There's nothing wrong with a little blood as long as it's not done too frequently.

I'm all for a violent or hard hitting match, but at the same time, I have a soft spot for most of the women on the roster and don't want to see them seriously injured or bleeding to death. Melissa defeats Mschif for the Shimmer Title in the first ever Women's Chain Match in ROH History with a Kudo Driver on a Chair, with the chain wrapped around Mschif's neck as a guillotine at 19:07 ... Both women are bleeding gushers and went all over the arena. Certain sick individuals don't speak for the majority of us.

And judging by some of the responses in this thread, some SHIMMER fans would be even more drawn into the match if it were used well. I'm just guessing they won't turn SHIMMER off and say they are simply unable to watch.

That reminds me. MsChif/Melissa needs to be revived, this time for the title.
