Seriously, the only reason why she won the old WWWA Red Belt in the now defunct AJW, is because she's big and she's tough.
She only has one match in Shimmer which the DVD is obiviously hasn't been released yet, but I have many AJW tapes and a couple of HUSTLE tapes of her, she is not mobile in the ring.
She's like another Lex Luger in the terms of wrestling talent...power moves, not a great seller, and gives any match a bad rating.
Time to move on with her.

 Judging by your username, I take it you're that troll on the SC Forums. What the hell's your problem? You really had to make a WHOLE thread dedicated to this garbage on the SHIMMER board?! Exactly how many matches of AK's have you seen, because in the last few years she's improved a lot since arriving in Japan? She is one of the better ones in the blackhole known as Joshi today, what with all those pathetic comedy wrestlers and talentless Diva knockoffs known as Athtresses. And you know so much about All Japan Women booking? I suppose you'd rather have a selfish stiff like Kumiko Maekawa holding the title (she was alright, but had no business holding the Red Belt). She's had TWO SHIMMER matches anyway, not one. The first being what was supposed to be a really impressive encounter with Nikki Roxx. By all accounts, Amazing Kong probably carried Nikki (though Roxx likely deserves credit too) to her best SHIMMER match thus far. Yeah right. Watch Eagle Sawai or Tsunami in matches. Your lame, one-sided description of AK matches them. Take your poisonous comments elsewhere! Judging by your SC posts, you clearly hold some grudge against AK which is very sad and petty. Someone should see sense and lock this thread.

Amazing Kong is and has been booked as a monster. And if you knew anything about how wrestling is booked and how gimmicks work, 1) monsters and giants never sell 2) they're supposed to dominate 3) they're supposed to use power moves but all that aside, Kong is quite talented. Agreed. His bashing of Amazing Kong on that other forum I mentioned is the most reactionary drivel I've ever read. Like on there, he's looking for a response here. The SHIMMER Office might have read, in the other thread, that a large majority of the forum members here love AK and would be delighted for her to come over again.

Ummmm....I think you should see her match against Nikki Roxx, which will be on Vol. 5, before you ask for her to be removed from Shimmer.
Her match against Roxx was the first match on the card to get the crowd totally into the action and was at least in the Top 5 for best matches of the night....that's including BOTH Vol. 5 & Vol. 6 matches. The entire crowd in attendence were really impressed by her in both of her matches (She was the main reason the fans were into the Trios Tag match on Vol. 6).
I'm sorry, but I have to totally disagree with you about getting rid of Amazing Kong. Everyone at the show was impressed with her & I hope she will be a permanent addition to the Shimmer roster.

it seems like most fans in Japan have abandoned joshi for the new "nude wrestling" style.. At least that's the impression I get.

The problem in Japan is that women aren't used as valets in the top promotions and almost never have been; NOAH, NJPW, AJPW, FMW, MPW, Dragon Gate... almost none of them consider female eye candy to be necessary or useful.
Women will either drop off the face of the wrestling world forever (in Japan) or by some miracle achieve a semblance of stability.
There's no ground to fall back on, unfortunately, unlike in the US with the demeaning yet stable Diva platform forever present.

Some like Megumi Yabushita have turned to MMA. I hear that promotions like Smack Girl pay well. It's not uncommon for women wrestlers in Japan to have part time jobs either. Joshi today just doesn't provide any money.
One of the huge problems in the Joshi business is the endless stream of freelancers. There is no stability or consistency there. That is why it'd be best for several groups, I think, to merge together. OZ Academy (probably the best Joshi group right now) and M's Style did a joint-show to aid Mika Nishio's medical bills, quite recently. That kind of thing ought to happen on a permanent basis. Certain wrestlers just need to put their egos aside and work together to strengthen Joshi.
