At the chickfight tapings Jezebel announced her retirement but JETTA came out and it was announced her last match will be against JETTA
Following Dann Read's burial of Rebecca Knox - much like Paul Heyman's burial of Sabu when he no-showed - the former "Jezebel" Eden Black came to the ring to make her announcement. At some points you really felt like rushing into the ring and giving her a hug - she looked on the verge of tears at some points, and when she announced she was bowing out, you could have heard a pin drop. But then Jetta came out and ruined everything.

I really enjoyed her matches in SHIMMER (okay, maybe I didn't enjoy her match with Rain, but whatever) and ChickFight.
Oh well, at least she's having one final bout with Jetta.

I really liked Eden. I was looking forward to seeing how far she would go in Shimmer. Alas, it's not to be. Thank you Jez for giving us your all, you will be missed.

Oh that's great. Someone I really like retires mere weeks after I found out about her.
Of course this isn't without precedent. I got into Siam Shade literally a month before they broke up.
Not that these stories are in any way connected.

Chickfight could be pure kayfabe or it could just be her way of saying shes leaving Chickfight.

The report in the top post is actually mine from another site.
It means Eden Black's last match will be on August 3. Whether it turns out to actually be her *final* match will be her call after the bell's rung.

If she is retiring, I hope she makes it to the July 5 taping. Wish I could be there to see her wrestle in person but it appears not to be unless she goes to the following show.
