It's practically unavoidable. You get this many people from all over the world crammed into close quarters, there's going to be germs getting spread. SHIMvirus sucks but outside of requiring hazmat suits, there's no real way of completely avoiding it.
Also, speaking for myself here, I'm traveling quite a long way to Berwyn and have invested a substantial amount of money on this trip already that I can't get back. And I know there's plenty of folks coming from even further away and spending even more money than me. And I'll be damned if I'm staying in Minnesota this weekend if I get a sore throat or the sniffles on Thursday. I'll do my utmost to remain as sanitary and hygienic as I possibly can but this just isn't the kind of thing you miss unless something substantial and/or tragic happens at the last second. And as I said before, it's really unavoidable. If you can't handle the potential of catching a cold next week, perhaps y'all should be the ones staying home.

I'm not talking about sniffles. I'm talking about flu/ violently throwing up. Why would anyone go out in that condition.

Airborne, my friends, Airborne - take it daily. It won't hurt and it should help to at least lessen the effects of whatever bugs are flying around that room.

Got my tickets! I noticed the flyer I got was slightly different from the one from late-September - the only change being that Cheerleader Melissa isn't on it. She is coming, right? Yes. We had to put in the flyer order before I heard back from her to confirm, so to be safe she wasn't on the printed version.

73 hours to go! Have a safe trip all those coming in. AAAACHHOOOO! Damn flu...Just kidding. I just sniffle and sneeze like mad because I'm basically allergic to nature and people. But, yeah, basic hygiene isn't too much to ask. Plus washing hands isn't terribly hard to remember to do.

I'd recommend a squirt-bottle of anti-bacterial solution at each corner of the barriers around the ring, but then Matthews, Portia or Saraya Knight would be bound to squirt it into someone's eyes, and that would sting.

We've put everything in place for Saturday's Q&A session after that day of taping in Berwyn. It's not the biggest place, but it will suffice for what we're looking to do.
Immediately following the show in Berwyn, those who want to check out what we'll call the "bonus activities" that day can descend upon Cigars & Stripes, which is located at 6715 Ogden Ave. in Berwyn. For those staying at the nearby Rodeway Inn, C&S is basically between the motel and the Eagles Club.
Our time at Cigars & Stripes on Saturday is to accomplish two things. First, to give everyone plenty of time to do their typical intermission activities, such as picking up merchandise from the wrestlers, get photos, etc. And second, to hold an actual Q&A session to go along with our 10th Anniversary. We needed a location that would be willing to let us do all of the above, without any objections. Ronnie Lottz (owner of Cigars & Stripes) is a former wrestling manager, so he's all about helping us out by basically giving us free run of the entire property for a few hours. Needless to say, any normal business owner wouldn't be excited at the prospect of wrestling people having a live microphone in their hands for two hours for a Q&A session, without having to really limit what we say. Ronnie's a wrestling guy, so we can do everything exactly the way we want to at C&S. He's doing us a big favor. The only down side is it's a small location.
For those who haven't really scoped the place out, they have basically three rooms. There's the main bar area, which also has a video screen & a small stage where we'll put a rotating panel of wrestlers for the duration of the Q&A session. Packed, that main room can probably fit about 50 people. The second area behind that room has additional seating, as well as a video feed of what's on the stage in the other main room. That space can probably fit another 20 people. Then there's also the area behind that room, which is an outdoor patio area (with a roof on it, in case of any potential rain). That area can probably fit another 30 people. Our plan would be to try to run one more video feed out to the patio as well, so that potentially everyone in all 3 areas could be watching the Q&A as it happens. As I know not everyone who attends the show will also be staying for this stuff, we should be fine in terms of space. We'll be filming the Q&A for an eventual video release as well, for anyone who is interested in seeing it but doesn't wish to attend it in person on Saturday.
The game plan is to head to C&S once the show at the Eagles Club has concluded, and do the intermission style merchandise portion first, followed by the Q&A session. The C&S kitchen (though limited) will be open for the duration of our time there, and of course the bar will be open as well. We'll wrap everything up over there around 6:30 or so. Anyone who'd like to get a more substantial meal than C&S might be able to handle, can head over to Paisans. We'll be doing our usual Sunday after party at Paisans the next day as well.

I hope I can convince my travel buddy to take off after the merch selling. I have no real questions I need answered and I don't really feel like sitting through a session of questions like, "Will you please do a SHIMMER show in my hometown?", "Will you make a new secondary title?", "Why haven't you brought in/back this girl?", "When is SHIMMER getting a TV deal?" and "Why don't the DVD's come out quicker?" for Dave and "What's your favorite match/feud?", "Who is someone you want to face?", "Will you ever go to WWE?" and "Can I have a hug?" questions for the talent. Sure, I might miss one or two questions that actually require a thoughtful answer but I don't feel like hanging around and waiting for those rare gems to surface.

"Can I have a hug?" - so funny. I went to the UFC Fan Expo this year in Las Vegas. They had a number of Q&A panels. Dana White had one. There was a Legends Panel, a Champions Panel, a Women Of The UFC Panel, etc. All but one of the Q&A panels were completely overwhelmed by the requests for hugs/photos. Only the women had the discipline to say, from the beginning - "You want a photo? Get in that area over there and we'll deal with it when the real Q&A is over." Thank you, Megan Olivi.

I would hope anyone that actually bothers to attend the shows wouldn't ask to bring SHIMMER to their area. That seems to be the recourse of the lazy townies who don't even know the promotions that DO operate in their range.

So am I understanding this right? (Probably not knowing me)... It starts at 6 and and we have to be out by 630? What actual time do we have to vacate the Eagles Club by?
