Possibly the best SHIMMER DVD cover of all time. So arty, evil and brilliant.

I am not a big fan of this one. I LOVE the back. The pictures and the fonts are great!
Given that the back and front are both white, I wish the spine was white as well. I know that would make this one stand out in a line of SHIMMER DVDs on a shelf, but I think the spine looks out of place.
I like the idea for the front, but Melissa looks kind of awkward holding the belt.

The spine should never change. It would ruin the collection.

^ Yeah, if the spine hasn't changed since Volume 1 as it is, there's no reason to start changing it now.
I agree that Melissa looks a little awkward holding the belt that way, but I think it helps sell the impending doom aspect of the story.
I really love this one, and I think it is already my favorite. Although I really like Vol 47 as well so it'll be a pretty cool pair to put together.

^ Such a positive person aren't you I like that it's so different from any of the the others because it sounds like it's a stand out show with the title match as a big moment in SHIMMER.

I like how Saraya is looming over the cover like some kind of dark overlord. That's good storytelling.

The white background doesn't look great, but that's only cos white backgrounds often tend to enhance the photoshopped look a little too much. That said, it would have been difficult to create this image against a textured background without diminishing the impact of it and, ultimately, it is very effective.

Ugly ass cover, I guess they got lazy on this one. This is probably the worst cover ever, good cause I dont like saraya. Im skepping this one. Cant wait to get vol 47 for the tag title match. I can understand not being a fan of a certain wrestler - or being annoyed when a wrestler you aren't as keen on beats one of your favourites. Sure, in 'real' terms it's about how good the matches are, not the results. But sometimes kayfabe comes first. That said though, it seems excessive to skip an entire volume on the basis of just one match/result. Why not just buy it, and not watch that particular match?

I love it! Reminds me of the scene in "The Shining" where Jack looks through the bathroom door all crazy-like. Very horror movie! The white background is a nice change.

Saraya needs a caption of "SOON".
And I will always crack up at every single Courtney/Sara pic.

This entire show was one of the best show I've ever seen live. Amazing card from top top bottom. I cannot say enough good things about that Tag title match. Holy crap the emotions.

My suggestion when you watch this is to watch the bonus feature first. You get the entire brawl from RQW in Colchester (with top notch commentary from a good friend of mine, Dean Ayass), which ends in horrific circumstances. You need to be strong to watch the entire thing without turning away. After all that, you get Saraya's first interview after the injury, and then her documented rehab. Such a powerful piece that sets up Volume 48's events perfectly.
As for the main show, whilst shorter than I remembered it being, Kana/Skater was amazing, and all those kicks... MsEerie/The Oncoming Hatred was a funny match that turned awesome thanks to Hatred, and Athena had a match with Ray that on most other shows would be the undoubted highlight. But not here.
I'll go on record as saying that the four way tag was probably my favourite match I've watched live. There have been better matches I've witnessed, but nothing I've enjoyed more in terms of action, drama and payoff than this match. The first half of this match is great enough, especially when Hamada and Matthews were in there, but the real awesome kicks in when it's down to the Queens of Winning and the Ninjas. At that moment, you couldn't help but root for Courtney Rush to pull through, and when she did, the place went CRAZY. So much fun, so much joy, not even Sara Del Rey could buzzkill it. Such a shame she then had to sign a WWE contract...
And the main event told a great story, which is helped even more by watching the bonus feature beforehand, so you know just what Saraya's motives were. Melissa did a fantastic job selling her knee, letting it affect everything she did - if she hit a big move, it was made to look weaker than normal because her knee couldn't support it, and her covers were adjusted for it too. It was wrestled very intelligently, and I'd go as far as saying I preferred it second time round. It's certainly better than their Volume 52 match.
