I wasn't really feeling Greek Barbie. Also, the fact she's wrestled for 10 years, and that was the first I heard of her... reminded me too much of that woman from Tough Enough who claimed to be an 11 year vet. www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=6645&page=4She's around for a long time, mainly in the Northeast. From the few matches I saw, I think she's a good worker. I'd love to see more from her.

I have seen some of her matches in the Northeast. I don't think she is the best wrestler that area has produced, but I think she good. I don't know that I would want to see her in an every volume stint. But it wouldn't be bad to see her work 2 of the 4 like The New York Knockout did at the last set.

Barbie may not be SHIMMER main roster, much less main event material in any promotion, and I'm sure won't ever be at this stage in her career. However I can still see her in midcard matches at SHINE, WSU, and AIW's "Girls Night Out" events.

For those wondering, yes, what AIW's John Thorne tweeted earlier today would *IMPACT* us at SHIMMER as well. We've basically ceased using TNA talent at this point anyway, but this kinda seals the deal.

As a big Madison/Ashley fan this makes me kinda sad, because although it didn't look like she was really going to be around regularly again in SHIMMER, she is the only person this really affects.
Overall though I'm sure this can't be going down well amongst the TNA locker room, that's a lot of paydays disappearing! Another lame move by the lamest of promotions.

I can't imagine any independent promotion is going to pay to book someone and not even be able to use the footage on a DVD. This would basically put an end to any of them appearing on non-TNA shows. For us, it also (importantly) means if any of our current roster gets signed by TNA in the future, they're suddenly off limits for any future SHIMMER tapings.

Guess they're playing corporate hardball, and adopting the Vince formula more all the time.

Hopefully this means a pay raise for the Knockouts. I thought that was the main reason why they did outside bookings, to supplement the pay they get from TNA.

It's really disappointing to hear what some promoters are dealing with now as a result of this. The NSPW promotion in Canada has Chavo Guerrero booked for next week, and they even booked him for the show prior to his even joining TNA, yet are being told he will not be permitted to go to the ring at the show if any cameras are present. Airline ticket already purchased before they were informed of this. Unbelievable.

Unless they decide to do his match as the non-DVD main event, as a treat for the live crowd.

As a money losing show, if it's for just the live crowd. Independent promotions that spend money to fly in talent rely on DVD sales to cover those expenses.

Speaking of which, Chavo just tweeted this...
"I will not be appearing @nspw on Oct 6 due to them not honoring their contract. They decided last min that they wanted to tape & sell DVD's"

Everyone who runs an independent wrestling show in 2012 tapes their shows and releases DVDs of their events. Even the smallest ones. To assume a show wouldn't be taped is ridiculous.

Chavo is the Champion at our local promotion (Vendetta Pro in California where NYKO NIKKI & Davina Rose regularly appear) and now we might not see him again either
