I thought Saraya would have waited until a SHIMMER regular came over before she defended it in the UK, but I guess this booking tells us something...

That she got signed as a trainer at NXT, obviously.

Saraya and Destiny have torn each other up in some brutal brawls in the past few years - pretty sure they'll be going out there with a determination to put on a match worthy of the title, and pretty sure they'll surprise a lot of people. Those two are so comfortable with each other that they'll knock lumps out of each other. Exciting stuff.

SHIMMER TITLE BOUT ADDED TO BELLATRIX 5For the first time in the five and a half year history of the SHIMMER Championship, the title is set to be defended on British soil, under very British circumstances. SHIMMER Champion Sweet Saraya Knight will put the title on the line against Destiny in the main event of Bellatrix 5, to be held in Norwich, England on March 24th. Destiny has been on a roll in recent Bellatrix shows; winning three matches in one night back at Bellatrix 3 last September to become the promotion's Queen of the Ring, and was one of two survivors in the elimination match main event of Bellatrix 4 in November. Destiny has also faced Knight on many occasions over the years, and has picked up her fair share of victories along the way. This will be no easy night for the titleholder, who is taking on a 10+ year veteran who knows a great deal about her. In addition, the match will be contested using traditional British rounds. That means 10 rounds of three minutes duration each, with the first wrestler to gain two falls winning the bout. SHIMMER fans can see an example of British rounds in the match between Saraya and Allison Danger on SHIMMER Volume 41, which saw Saraya score the victory. This will be the first SHIMMER Title Match contested on British soil, the first to take place under British rules, and is the first one which features a Brit against a Brit. It will mark the second time the SHIMMER Championship has been on the line in a match held outside of the United States. Previously, Madison Eagles defended the SHIMMER Championship on a PWWA event in Australia. The title defense comes at the start of what could be a busy period for Saraya. One week after Bellatrix 5, she is set to face LuFisto at NCW Femmes Fatales in Montreal. Then seven days later, she is scheduled to defend the SHIMMER Championship against Cheerleader Melissa in a steel cage match as part of SHIMMER 53 at WrestleCon at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ. However, she should not look past Destiny, who has a real opportunity to spoil the festivities and take the SHIMMER Championship for herself before Saraya heads to North America. British SHIMMER fans, don't miss your opportunity to witness history being made live and in person! Bellatrix 5 will take place at Epic Studios in Norwich, England on Sunday, March 24th, with seven matches featuring top female warriors from all across Europe. Tickets can be purchased online at www.wawuk.com or by calling 0800 046 8164 or 07800 077 512.

interesting on many counts. It appears to be the case that Mena Libre is no longer wrestling and the type of role of the "larger lady" she played on the roster really needs filling at some stage. In my view, such a role would be well filled by Destiny or Viper from the U.K. with Destiny being my preferred choice at the moment due to her greater experience. hmmm... speculating if Destiny wins and has to take Saraya's spot as the title holder at shimmer 53 in the cage against Mellisa then I feel she would be well up to it.

The cage match will be between Saraya and Melissa, whether it's a title match or not.

As someone that has seen the last 4 Shimmer shows, and the last 5 WAWW/Bellatrix shows live, I fully expect to Saraya to retain the title. However, probably due to disqualification as the tables are turned in England remember, it's a home town crowd for Saraya and Destiny has little regard for rules. IMO It would be a shame for a match as huge as the cage match at Wrestlecon to not have the prize of the Shimmer title on the line.
