Portia Perez - "I've such better thing's to do with my time than watch a frickin' Allison Danger match Dave Prazak. I'm outta here."
Dave Prazak - "Wait a minute, wait you can't be outta here, what are you talking about? What better things have you got to do?"
Portia Perez - "C'mon man, I have a tag team title defence to prepare for, I have a Ricky Morton bandana to iron. I have like 5 episodes of Ninja Turtles TiVo'd. I have thing's to do."

Production specs review from me: Great stuff. I can't remember did we have a wideshot before? I can't remember. Anyway camera were great, the audio was amazing to where you could better hear trashtalk and boooing and stuff. And the commentary was gold. I know there are some complaints that portia kinda does too much of the stereotypical heel commentary of just siding with all the heels for whatever reason like they're the legion of doom, but in my opinion it doesn't matter because her quick wit and sharp tongue EASILY make up for it. Girl is friggin hiLARious. "2nd Rope Finger bite. BIG Spot out of the japanese wrassler." Everything was absolutely tremendous and it felt like I was right back there watching it live.

I was able to order Vol. 26, 28, and 29. Also, purchased The Evolution of Amazing Kong and the Ivory shoot from high spots. I will be in womens wrestling heaven in a few days.

After shi**y start to today, it quickly turned into a good one when I found vol. 26,28, and 29 in my mail box. Will write a brief review of 29 after I watch it.

just finished wathing the dvd and all i can say is wow i loved it. especially the joshi talent. match of the dvd for me was daizee vs misaki. to me the main event felt a like it was missing something. and ayumi/tomoka was epic as well . wow were those dropkicks powerful or what? and kelly skater on commentary was pretty cool. amazing dvd cant wait for volumes 30, 31, and 32.

What I liked alot about this volume was how the veterans were able to have matches with the younger or less experienced wrestler. One match that stuck out to me in that regard was Jamilia Craft vs. Mercedes. That match had the classic "taking the rookie to school" approach but at the same time Jamilia was able to impress the crowd and show what she can do. And that superkick? Holy $h*t.
As for the Joshi attraction, Misaki and Ayumi are very adorable, but my fave out of the bunch was Tomoka Nakagawa so I'm quite pleased that she will be back in September. Looking forward to seeing the rest of their matches on future DVDs.

I finished watching this DVD earlier. I'm very happy with the video and sound quality this time around. It's definitely the best footage ever shot for SHIMMER. Also nice to see the picture-in-picture feature introduced on Volume 19 put to use, but we all know what kind of match it needs to be used for again. I liked the addition of Kellie Skater to the commentary team, but she almost seemed to fade into the background. Prazak really dominated the verbal exchanges between them. He wins the award for asking her which doctor signed Portia's sick note (Dr. Wagner, Jr.?).
As far as the matches go, my thoughts haven't changed so much on anything since seeing it all live. Daizee Haze vs. Misaki Ohata and Ayumi Kurihara vs. Tomoka Nakagawa are easily the best from this DVD. In Haze vs. Ohata, Daizee's facial expressions from the close 2 count through the rest of the match to afterward are tremendous. Sara Del Rey vs. Tenille was really nice because they're 2 of my favorites and I didn't know Tenille was that good.

Must say how much I dig Portia & Nicole's new TAKA-esque tights.

I think Sarah was carrying the **** out of that match almost like Candice vs Beth.
