for all the fans of the best female wrestler in SHIMMER now, ever since Volume 22, she has been putting on the best match of the entire SHIMMER Volume DVD that i get, whether she's facing Melissa, Lufisto, Mschif.. and even her match on Vol.18 against Kong, was a show stealer, she is a FANTASTIC Hard worker, who always gives us a great match .

One of three women on the current Shimmer card I've had the joy of seeing and the only person, up until the last set of tapings, that I could see dethroning MsChif. I really think it woulda been the best option.
As the old saying goes: Who better than Wesna?

I really enjoyed her match with Kong on Volume 18. I thought it was awesome watching her deliver that German Suplex.

I loved that too and also Wesna vs Lufisto from 22. I found that one to be better than the one voted MOTY, but maybe that's just me.

I've really enjoyed her matches and it's a big loss for wrestling if she has to retire. (Wesna seems to be around forever, but she's just 26!)
It's always sad when wrestlers suffer injuries that end their career, and more important, impede their life even outside the ring. After all, they risk their health to entertain us.
I hope she gets well soon.

Wesna's been injured? What happened to her?

Supposedly Wesna is taking a break from wrestling. She's full on retired. Her hip falls out of place even in her regular life. She might come back eventually, but not any time soon. She has a bunch of lingering injuries from never taking a break off for injuries or even toning down her style, and it's finally caught up with her. A fan who recently met her wrote in a German Forum: (I hope I've translated it correct.)So I guess we can only hope. Wesna's last match was against LuFisto, and LuFisto also came back from retirement successfully.

LuFisto offically retired? I knew she took a break from the sport, but I didn't know of official retirement.

I remember when Lufisto said she was taking a break for her back issues. She didn't say she retired.

According to LuFisto's Wikipedia entry (which of course don't have to be true at all): "On January 8, 2007, however, she announced on her web site a possible retirement due to a back problem and that she would be forfeiting the CZW Iron Man Championship"
Anyway, what a meant is that LuFisto came back frome a career-threatening injury. Hopefully Wesna can do the same.

Ok, once again, I'll make this clear.... Here's what I wrote on my website when I got injured back in 2007....
... Two of my vertebras are in bad shape and I’m waiting to know if I need surgery. Of course, I won’t risk anything this time and I will be responsible about this. Therefore, no more wrestling…
Am I retiring? I don’t like the word retirement because when you wrestle, it’s in your blood and too many people who are “retiring” are back in the ring a while after.
The only thing I can say is that I’m not wrestling anymore, for now. I’ll see what the doctor says, what the results of the CT Scan I’m having tonight will say. Depending if it’s a good or bad news, I will make a decision about my wrestling future in about 3 months.
Is it over? Only time will tell but I will have to slow down if I do decide to come back. I don’t know if I’ll update this website in the upcoming months. I guess I’ll see how it goes and how I feel …
The next three months will be quite challenging. Thank you so much for all the support and love throughout all those wonderful 9 years. I don’t have any regrets as I did more than people expected me to do.
So you see... I NEVER RETIRED!!! I took a break! It's crazy how people make up stories on whatever they can find! lol
Cheers!

People bandy about the word retirement in wrestling when what they really mean is hiatus. But then, I suppose a Hiatus Match wouldn't have quite the same effect.

That reminds me of the part of Shawn's farewell address when he said "Now I know everyone knows about "Career-ending" matches..." and some people in the crowd responded with "WOOOO!!" It's funny because it's true.

I find that more enraging than funny; selfish dick. No-one will ever get a send off like that again and considering that Michaels spent the majority of his career in WWF whereas Flair did a 2 year stint and then came there long past his years I think it's a shame Michaels' send off was so understated. Still, Undertaker did doff his hat to him I suppose.
