You know, if TNA and WWE in general just cut down on the talking, trim down the promos - more time can be given to wrestling (for men and women). I think it has been proven that talking in pro wrestling is more popular than wrestling in pro wrestling. I think the highest-rated segments in the history of WWE and WCW have involved talking only (Rock, this is your life, for example) or other segments that did not involve actual matches. While hardcore fans might be able to get into the finer points and the athletic aspects of a wrestling match, a greater number of viewers apparently care more about seeing characters. I am fine with watching individual matches out of context. I do it all the time and find them to be entertaining. However, I don't think that works for episodic TV over a long period of time. Also, the goal of TV should be to get people to spend money on the pay-per-views and live shows (though, garnering high TV ratings, somehow became equally or more relevant during the Monday night wars).

However if they cut out all the times Sting said "Kevin" this week we could have had five minutes more time..... lol

I guess that's just how he talks because he's done that with everyone.
AJ, Joe, Kurt, Mick, Nash...

You know what Digestive Ceremony, I think you're right Digestive Ceremony. Sting does that a lot Digestive Ceremony, and I don't understand Digestive Ceremony. Do you understand Digestive Ceremony?
Dunno why I used your name there, Digestive Ceremony, but you are right Digestive Ceremony about how Sting uses everybody's name so much every promo Digestive Ceremony. Why does he do that?!
I have actually turned it into a drinking game with my mates now. Everytime he repeats the name you have to take a big swig of your drink. It gets you drunk very quickly, and makes Impact more fun.

I've been a Sting mark almost my entire life and the name thing started in TNA.
Maybe it started in 2000 WCW but it wasn't as bad. I think it's just a way to keep fan's with short attention spans reigned in.

Also, the goal of TV should be to get people to spend money on the pay-per-views and live shows (though, garnering high TV ratings, somehow became equally or more relevant during the Monday night wars). I agree that ratings are (to use a bad pun) overrated as an indicator of WWE/TNA success when compared to pay per view buyrates, house show attendance, and merchandise sales and have been ever since Raw went head-to-head with Nitro. However, another important factor to consider is that now, at least according to publications like the Wrestling Observer, WWE and TNA actually make the majority of their money on rights fees paid to them by television networks and not money generated by PPV, tickets, and merch. In that regard, consistently strong ratings have become somewhat more important in recent years. So, ideally, a good wrestling TV show will act as both an entertaining, self-contained television program and as a glorified infomercial for the other products mentioned above.

I too am a fan of his, I find it funny more than anything, but it is strange.

Maybe that only makes sense since I'm smashed right now, but I think I'll do that sometime. That's not a Sting thing. Have you ever listened to any of Jarrett's promos? No. I'm able to tune out that horrible sh!t.

Because no-one demanded it - Sharmell vs Jenna at the next PPV. Yeah that'll really rake in the $$$$ and buys!!!!!
I want to know what bonehead thought, not only that it would be a good match, but that people actually wanted to see it. Jeez, I hope it is someone's idea of a joke.
In better news, I read today on I think Gerweck that they hope to have Hamada start at the next set of TV tapings.

The card isn't set in stone, but I am really stressing how badly I think this match will turn out. Sojo bolt cut a promo tihs past Thursday, saying that she was Sharmell's "homegirl" and that she was training her to wrestle. Jenna has jack in terms of wrestling experience, so I'm hoping it'll be a quick roll up, or maybe by interferance.
Hopefully, we can have a Sarita match for the PPV, considering she's debuting the week before the PPV.

Fact 1- Dont bring back Booker T & Midnight. The new Main Event maffia storyline with Matt Morgan, Sting, Samoa Joe & now I guess christopher Daniels is awesome. CONTINUE WITH THAT.
Fact 2- I agree when it comes to the names. TNA should just have them wrestle as themselves; Sarah stock & Cheerleader Mellisa. Even Daffney got to keep her name. Having goofy names focuses more on chacater looks than athletic competion. I am just waiting when Sara Del Rey makes it to TNA. WWE would not take her. Del Rey is to dominating & does not look like a playboy centerforld. Besides WWE would downplay her abilities, just like they are doing to Gail Kim right now. Gail Kim had classic matches on TNA with Awesome kong and now she is losing to Michelle McCool. GIMMIE A BREAK!
FACT 3- LAX should stay together. WWE tried to break up the Dudleys & APA back in 2002. They then eventually got back together. Besides Team 3D & LAX should team up against the British invasion, Shiek Abdul Bashir & that japanese guy. So we can see a fued brew between Beer Money and the Main Event Maffia.
THANKS EVERYONE!

FACT-anyone who tries to portray his boneheaded opinion as fact is an idiot.
Look, obviously Sharmell isn't going to wrestle but also obviously that particular feud is ridiculous. However, remember TNA is paying Jenna a lot of money. They are obviously pressuring her to wrestle though she has said in interviews that she wouldn't wrestle until she felt she was ready.
FACT-as long as TNA insists on owning the wrestler's ring name for merch purposes at the expense of an established indy fed character, they are going to change the name. Of course we would all like them to stop doing that but these days it seems to be a cut and dried issue with them with no flexibility. They must think they exist in an alternate pro wrestling universe but the policy ignores that TNA contracts aren't exclusive and many TNA wrestlers still work indy feds with his or her own ring name. Melisssa Flash is still going to be Cheerleader Melissa everywhere but TNA.
