LESS THAN A WEEK... Although... It's with great regrets that Femmes Fatales direction has to announce that Miss Danyah will not be able to compete at this Saturday show. The direction needed to find on short notice a suitable replacement for her, and it only tooks a few hours to do it. So, on September 5th, She Nay Nay will face Addy Starr. The young Starr has progressed at a fast rythm since her arrival on the independant circuit. Her indeniable charisma fastly made her a regular wrestler in a lot of promotions all around Ontario and Quebec. Addy wrestled a few weeks ago in Montreal for the ISW and she made the promess that the Montreal crowd will not forget her.

Danyah's having a bit of a rough time of it at the moment, isn't she?

Anybody else think Addy Starr looks a little like Eva Green (Vesper Lyndd from Casino Royale)?

Well I suppose so, but if you hadn't said so before I never would have connected the two.
Incidentally, if you're a fan of the exquisite Ms Green, I recommend you check her out in a film called The Dreamers. It's a bit blue ("Adult Art, son. Adult Art") though, and could very well be described as pretentious rubbish, so don't say you haven't been warned.

Ah yeah. I've seen some scene scans from that film on the net. Looks like French Arthouse at it's finest.

Stephen Ashfield sent along this interview with LuFisto about the show.A new women’s promotion holds its first show in Montreal, Canada on September 5th. I interviewed LuFisto to find out more about the company and its hopes for the future. Femmes Fatales is the new women's division introduced by NCW in Canada, why did the company decide to take this step?NCW had their own women division a while ago but there weren't enough female wrestlers available to make it interesting. The same two or three female wrestlers were wrestling so they cancelled the division. Before it closed its doors, I was helping a lot in running the Association de Lutte Feminine (ALF), an all-women promotion in Montreal, with my friend Stephane Bruyere. When the promotion went down, NCW approached me to be in charge of their women's division since I had all the contacts necessary to do so, however this time I would be in total control of everything. Since I wanted the girls to have their own place where they could shine and learn, I accepted their offer with Stephane as my right hand. Actually, he's in charge of the booking. I take care of everything else like the website, videos and so on. The card for the first show really looks outstanding, can you run through the card for my readers?LuFisto VS Cheerleader Melissa Portia Perez VS Kylie Pierce Sara Del Rey VS Cherry Bomb Roxie Cotton VS Mary Lee Rose VS Anna Minoushka VS Kalamity MsChif VS Misty Haven Addy Starr VS She Nay Nay Kacey Diamond VS Karen Brooks Plus Candy Girl will be in action The main event sees you taking on Cheerleader Melissa, the SHIMMER match of the year in 2008. Melissa won on that occasion so you must be desperate to get your revenge especially on home territory?Of course I'm hoping to get the win in front of my home crowd but most importantly, I want the fans to see women wrestling like they never have before. That's why I'm bringing talent like Melissa. I hope the Canadian fans can have a 'SHIMMER' experience" and I will do my best as the president of NCW Femmes Fatales and a wrestler to give them just that. Do you think the fans in Canada will support an all-female show? The hype has been tremendous so far so I'm really hoping for the best. From what I read on the boards and forums, there is already a lot of support from the fans. How often will the company be running shows?I want to run every three to four months so we don't burn the product. I want it to be something special every time, just like SHIMMER. There's a good mix of Canadian and American wrestlers, will this help young Canadian female wrestlers get more experience? That's one of the main goals of the promotion. I want local girls to get good experience by working with talented and experienced wrestlers. I want them to see how professionals like Sara del Rey are setting up their matches, getting ready and so on. By working with and looking at the work of great wrestlers up close, they will learn and get better. How strong do you think the Canadian female wrestling scene is at present? From the e-mails I get, there are a lot of fans out there but they don't have the possibility to see all-female shows in their area. They buy DVD's from SHIMMER and other female promotions and they watch a bit of TNA and WWE. However, we do have a lot of good female wrestlers in Canada like Miss Danyah, Cherry Bomb and others. I'm hoping to get this talent together at NCW Femmes Fatales and give the fans a place close to home where they can enjoy good female wrestling. I think the scene is strong wrestler-wise but poor when it comes to exposure. I hope to change that with NCW Femmes Fatales. How can my readers find out more about NCW Femmes Fatales? You can check out our website at www.ncwfemmesfatales.com/ (French) and our official MySpace at www.myspace.com/ncwfemmesfatales for our English speaking fans!

I attended the show last night, it was a great show top to bottom and the turnout was really good too, around 200-230 people I would estimate. I was able to meet Cheerleader Melissa, Portia Perez and Sara Del Rey for the first time, which was pretty cool. Can't wait until the next show.
Here are some Quick Results of the show:
Dark Match: CandyGirl def. Anastasia Ivy
Main Show:
1) Addy Starr def. She Nay Nay
2) Portia Perez def. Kylie Pierce
3) Kalamity def. Roxie Cotton, Mary Lee Rose and Anna Minoshka in a 4-way Dance
4) Sara Del Rey def. Cherry Bomb
Intermission
5) Kacey Diamond def. Karen Brooks
6) MsChif def. Misty Haven
7) MAIN EVENT: Lufisto def. Cherrleader Melissa
The Lufisto-Cheerleader Melissa match did not disappoint, on par with their match back on Volume 20. Awesome to see live!
