shimmer could like roh have student matchs as dark matchs at shimmer This is the last thing I'd want to see. I can't stand it how ROH buries their students- even the ones who have been around for years- just because the marks on their own message board don't like them. I'd hate to see another wrestling school where the point isn't to build the stars of tomorrow but to help sustain the organization and forget about the people who are going through training all the time to try and improve themselves. There are some things that ROH has done which I hope Shimmer avoids completely. Pelle Primeau, Rhett Titus, Shane Hagadorn, and Bobby Dempsey all disagree with you. ;D They've had the chance to tour with ROH, appear on PPV, etc. all thanks to being graduates of the ROH Wrestling Academy. They owe their spots on all of the shows to that fact. When the time comes, we will definitely give the SHIMMER graduates ring time and experience in front of a crowd on our own events, whether it be in dark matches or on the main show, all depending on how prepared the wrestlers are at the time.

Actually Dave, this is the one time that I'm going to disagree with you. The only thing the ROH students have been is jobbers. I was in attendance at the Transform show and it was horrible seeing all these guys getting fed to Daniel Puder just to try and make him look good (which wasn't really working anyways). If appearing on PPV and being a part of the roster is an accomplishment, well guess what? Mikey Batts, David Young and D-Ray 3000 have all appeared on PPV too. Does that mean that anyone in the wrestling world is going to look at them as real stars? ROH has got to stop burying the students- especially Shane Hagadorn, who gets over a lot for being a heel- and give them a fair shot at things too. I'm not talking five minute matches that go nowhere. I'm talking about 10, 15, 20 minute matches where they get a real chance to show what they can do (or not do). The way I look at it is: you've got these guys busting their tails and paying their dues, but when is their hard work going to pay off? When are they ever going to be taken seriously by the promotion? Even in FIP, Hagadorn wasn't given a fair shake or a chance to have a longer match (I'm thinking about his contest against Erick Stevens). ROH pushed Austin Aries out of nowhere when he had only been around for 3 years (2004) and put him up against some really good opponents. Now Hagadorn's been around the same amount of time. To me, if you're not going to give him a chance- he doesn't have to have the same chance that Aries did- then what you're basically saying is that you value Austin Aries more than Shane Hagadorn and the other students and that the students don't really have any chance of becoming stars at any point in the future. I swear, if Shimmer starts doing this, I might give up the promotion altogether. That's how much I can't stand it.

Have you been watching Pelle's, Rhett's, and even to an extent Hagadorn's stuff the past several months? Pelle in particular has been in the feud with Chris Hero and has been in a bunch of lengthy/key matches. Rhett's been in a major storyline involving Delirious and Daizee Haze which has seen Rhett get more promo time than any other heel on the shows other than Nigel McGuinness and Jimmy Jacobs. Alex Payne is insanely over in Chicago. Hagadorn wrestles on the next PPV and is actually a focal point of the Four Corner Survival with Delirious, Ruckus, and Erick Stevens since he's the only heel in the match. A year or two ago, sure... what you say was true, that not much was being done with the students, but currently in 2008 they are being used on most of the shows, featured on the PPVs, and are working with the main guys on the roster.

Well I haven't watched every single ROH show there is, so I suppose I could have missed some of what you're talking about. But it would be great to see the students getting a fair shake.

That's when the first class begins. There really isn't and won't be any info after that until wrestlers are ready to debut.

So we won't have any news like So-And-So is showing great ability, and we have high hopes for her?
If the trainees agreed to it, would you ever like video tape the sessions?

ROH's school is just that, its not a promise to make you into the next Randy Orton and its not going to make you a main eventer over night, ROH produced several decent wrestlers already, and you gotta account for experience of the people who come out. How ROH wishes to utilize new comers though is really up to them. But with ROH's training youre now in the business WWE and TNA would probably consider you highly after training if they saw ROH as your training. If Im not mistaking Delirious is the head trainer right now. The only drawback to ROH for me is the picetag, which is comparible to Wild Samoan Wrestling School. But I heard quite often when it comes to wrestling schools you get what you pay for. I think Shimmer's wrestling school is a great idea, and its a great location.

It isnt "Tough Enough" I just got a mental image of Melissa randomly turning up at the school in a really foul mood to shout at the trainees and chop the dogsnot out of them, a la Bobcore Holly ;D
