Well, that's massively disappointing.
As agonizing as the answer may be, is there any way you could tell us what matches we would've gotten had she shown up?

I'm sure she has a good reason, it must be really serious if she didn't contact Dave to say she wasn't coming.

We still have yet to even hear from her directly. She hasn't contacted us to give us any explanation. What she has done is tell others that wrestling "isn't for her" anymore, so it appears to be a general decision that she has made to not show up.

Screw'er then. SHIMMER outgrew her long ago.

Thanks for trying to get her to come back Dave. She had a lot of potential and I think it's sad for wrestling fans that we won't get to see her develop it.
That being said, let's just focus on all the great talent that does show up!

I really enjoyed Knox on the volumes she attended, but if she's gone for good, I could care less.
It would have added extra excitement to the tapings, but I really enjoyed the shows and didn't feel that any additional Irish grapplers were needed.
For what it's worth, I was far more sad that Eden couldn't be there than I could have been about Knox no-showing.

Honestly that is not the way you handle things when dealing professionally. No matter the reason, it's only proper to contact people and tell them what's going on. Just like any job, if you are not going to show up for work, you call and let someone know. Not every one does this and she seems to be one of those. She may have been a great talent but she surely was not the only one. Shimmer will go on, so will we.

She's totally breaking up with us.
If she does decide to get out of wrestling I can't blame her. I think she said in the past she's had numerous concussions before she was 20. With all that we learned about them in 2007, that wouldnt' sit well with me either.
But what really doesn't sit well with me is not contacting the promoter and letting them know whats' going on. That's not very cool at all.

You never knew, like someone said before maybe the head shots really DID mess up her way of thinking. This is very... heartbreaking. But, and it pains me to say this but it really IS true... Shimmer is NOT built around one person. For as much as everyone has their favorite and loves them to death, if they chose to leave or got signed, Shimmer WILL go on because there's always some hungry talent waiting to move into the spot. And with the lone sole exception of Ann Thraxx (and IMO, Josie) when has Dave & Allison ever brought in duds? The talent will keep coming. For those of you crapping on the new girls who debuted at least give them a couple more matches. Look at Lorelei as an example why.

I wonder if she'll make a statement if we all kept discussing her no-show. It's already mentioned on her wikipedia page that she no-showed.
