I like it. Lord, there are a lot of matches. Didn't even realize that there were that many in September. I can't wait to see my showdown with skater and to see the look on my face after the main event. Madison just gets under my skin (Breaks kayfabe: she is a damn good heel)

It looks nice. If they put some scribbly neon lines and some floating shoes and ice cream cones behind Melissa and Madison with that grid background, the tagline for this volume could be "SHIMMER by the Bell." The Rate Tank would have to be renamed Kellie Slater though.

This cover has kind of a 3D look in my opinion. Wonder if it is gonna come with special Shimmer 3D glasses? Yeah! Shimmer in 3D, now that's an idea.

Awesome, will be picking that up soon. Not that I wouldn't anyway, but I get more excited when the packaging is pretty. Clearly I have my priorities set right(!)

Loving the blue background. Will any other volumes be released along with that one?

Shouldn't the back read "Kellie Skater Open Invitation" to preserve the mystery for anyone who doesn't read results ahead? I mean personally I'd be all for utilising Serena's exposure by spotlighting her, but if she's only in one of the action shots rather than large on the front, it seems she might as well remain a mystery. C'est la vie.

C'est la vie. I kinda agree with this as her return was not announced in any way and was a total shock live. Now most of us would have had her return spoiled but there might be some buyers who haven't heard anything that could still have been surprised. And to provide an example, on Volume 19, MsChif's Battle Royale winning opponent was kept secret on the DVD. But oh well, it's not a serious complaint by me whatsoever. Dave can print pretty much whatever he wants to on the DVD cover as far as I'm concerned. And that cover does look nice.

Shouldn't the back read "Kellie Skater Open Invitation" to preserve the mystery for anyone who doesn't read results ahead? For the surprise to have any value you'd have to, for several months, actively avoid not only all SHIMMER news and spoilers, but also news from all the 20983 promotions Serena's worked since her release. Even that loses all value as soon as 34 goes up. Not realistic. It's probably better to let people know Serena is on this DVD than not.

Why avoid the other promotions she's worked for? Did she cut a promo at all of them saying, "It's great to be back but it was nothing like my surprise return at Shimmer Vol 33"? Even regardless of her being on WWE, this is Serena's first appearance on Shimmer for what, 8 shows? Even by virtue of that it's a surprise, regardless of what she's done anywhere else.
I don't wanna turn this into some controversial negative remark as I really do like the cover, it's just a minor detail I noticed.

There are no "spoilers" for the DVD of a show that took place two months ago. The only time we will not list matches on a DVD case are if the matches give away the results of previous matches on that same DVD (like a battle royal or a tournament). We've had several unadvertised appearances in the past, and they have always been on the match listing.
