| | Cheap Plug: LUFISTO GEAR FOR SALE « Thread Started on May 12, 2009, 10:31am » | |
Some fans asked me if I was selling some of my gear at the last Shimmer events so I decided to sell a bunch of stuff.
I already had some stuff on sale on my website and MySpace but there is more now.... I have so many costumes that I need to get rid of some stuff.
Here are the links:

Also, if there is an outfit that you would like to buy that is no on sale, let me know anyway. If I get a good price, I might sell it anyway. I would love to sell at least half of my stuff.... I have way too many things!
Plus, I got the bill for my nice scar against ODB... Let me tell you that I really need to sell a lot of things... So any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED!!
Much love,
LuFisto

See, this is why we need socialized medicine in the US . . . so poor LuFi doesn't have to sell off her gear every time she gets hurt.

Doesn't she live in Canada, though?

It depends on where the match took place?

Yes, but she works frequently in the US. I believe that the match with ODB was here, and I'm assuming she got the stitches here instead of waiting to go back north of the border.

So, if I get injured in Canada and have whatever procedures done there, do I get the perks of their Socialism? Without being a citizen, I would think not. Being a Canadian citizen and living there, shouldn't where an ailment occurred be irrelevant?

If you get treated in the US, the US institution will bill you, regardless of what kind of health care program backed by a foreign government you're participating in.

It makes you wonder why Canadian wrestlers would bother getting treated here, then. In LuFisto's case, her head was cracked open and that couldn't wait.
I do wonder if the same applies with American citizens getting treated in Canada.

No clue on that one, and I'm not about to go hurt myself in Saskatoon to find out.
And, yeah, there are foreign people who get injured in the US and forgo treatment until they get back home so that they don't have to pay. An organization that I'm a member of here in my hometown sponsored a foreign exchange student from Slovakia, and he destroyed his knee playing indoor soccer. We obviously had to inform his parents, who wanted him on the next plane back so that he could get the surgery performed for free courtesy of their government.
It would've cut his stay in the US short by several months and he didn't want that to happen (nor did we), so we actually took up a collection to pay for the portion of the surgery which was not covered by the insurance we already had on him. The parents were suddenly fine with him staying.
