Looking at there standards for the rankings, I think this is a pretty good list. I find it hilarious that Daffney and Shark Girl are tied.

Pretty good, but I like Portia as much as anyone but she is #5 while Kong ranks 14?

Del Rey is a good choice for #1 though.

From looking at the web page you linked, the guy who created this list has obviously ranked people he's unfamiliar with. Who is "Kat Powers" anyway? April Hunter even being ranked is a joke since she "retired due to injuries" and only does custom matches now. Tiana Ringer didn't wrestle anywhere, at all, during 2008. Crybaby? Is she even really considered a pro wrestler?

No Nevaeh in the top 50? I'm calling shenanigans.

Ashley & Nevaeh... no longer the tag team champions, but they'll always be the first tag team champions. No one can take that title away.

Serena Deeb should be ranked higher IMO. Not only did she beat Del Rey in the main event, but she's racked up several OVW women's title reigns this year alone.

Danyah being at 13 is all kinds of shenanigans.

I like Sumie Sakai, but she hasn't done crap this year, and hasn't been good since arriving in america.

Ariel's at a good place. Daizee Haze should be higher IMO. I dunno about Lufisto being quite that high, but it's alright.

Portia being at number 5's a little weird.

I dunno about Melissa being where she is. On the one hand, for me at least, she's put on the most consistent quality of matches over anyone this year, but she hasn't really gotten as big of a push as the other girls.

Nikki Roxx, seems far too high.

Mschif should be #1 IMO. She's triple crown champion, and has been getting extremely visible in ROH even having a part in a Main-Event match. I think he only put Del Rey there because she did well in the TPI.

You don't like Sara Del Rey. We get it. Whether you like it or not, she works a harder schedule than anyone you think should be #1.

That list appears to have been compiled with all the logic of a Labour Party Healthcare / Climate Change / Public Transportation Manifesto!

Brett Schwan-a moron since 2003. This isn't any different than when he first started doing this. Some of the selections make absolutely no sense and neither do several omissions. Why bother with specifics? His defense is "It's just an opinion and we're trying to create discussion" instead of admitting that he screwed up. The basic problem is clearly some of the selections are based on old info and are meaningless. Translation-Brett Schwan is a moron.

Eden Black over Jetta is a massive error. Don't get me wrong, I love Jez, but she's only wrestled one (admittedly very good) match in 2008, and that was against Jetta.

Jetta's been all over the shop, main eventing SHIMMER, being the focal point of virtually every all-women promotion in the UK and being one of the best heels we've got over here.

According to the criteria, things like wins, losses and title reigns are not referenced. However, there are several contradictions in regard to who is ranked and the need to be "active." Downgrading for TNA activity as opposed to removing them from contention like WWE (and developmental) talent also seems problematic.

I think it is generally better to do these sorts of things as a panel. Otherwise you leave yourself open for all sorts of scrutiny... or are better off just being dismissed as insignificant as any of us could put together a subjective list.

Portia's had a good year but at number five? I dunno what their criteria is but I would assume it would be an overall year thing. Which Perez did have.

Jez has only been in ONE MATCH this year so therefore she should be that far up if at all. Although I have been itchin for some Jez action.

I think Rain should be higher, not like top 10 or 20's but if they're doing the visibility thing then she should be at least in the 30's. Of course I am a HWC mark so... :P

As much as I wish Tiana was still wrestling she's not yet.

I'm fine with SDR she deserved to be in the top 10 at least as well as Chif, CLM, and Haze so whatever number they are within that frame I'm ok with.

Kong should be in the top ten for MANY reasons. Not only is she the champ in TNA but she's had at least two match of the year candidates, practically undefeated (as far as pinfalls and submissions are concerned), and she's had an excellent year so yeah.....but they were smart enough to have her in the top 20's as well as Deeb who I really started going for in the second half of the year, same for Ariel.

I FRICKIN MARK OUT FOR DARK ANGEL so I don't care if she deserved it or not (although she probably did).

April Hunter............uh......IS SHE STILL WRESTLING OR NOT!? Make up your mind!

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to what I call "pure independents" so I can't say anything about them.....

Looks like a decent listing I suppose.

A good chunk of this list looks pretty decent compared to prior list composed from wrestlingclothesline. Although having Sumie Sakia in the top ten is WAY off. I'm okay with Portia being in the top ten. I remember reading something where DP said that Portia is someone that will travel to another country just to wrestle one match or something like that.

Having Tiana Ringer on the list is very "WTF" since she has been inactive since sometime in 2007. From reading the criteria for this list Tiana and Jez shouldn't have made the list. The same thing goes for April Hunter since she is now mainly a manager/valet.

I'm guessing the reason that Allison Danger was ranked so low this year is because she will not be able to finish 2008 due to her pregnancy?

IIRC, he does this with two other people. If you look at his lists since 2003, his stupid biases are fairly obvious. He goes to WEW shows and likes their product. He's a major April Hunter mark. She was #1 once. Even she admits that he overrates her. And she's not a wrestler anymore. Based on his criteria, she shouldn't be listed. Obviously, he doesn't pay attention or he'd know that Tiana Ringer is retired. TNA wrestlers? Very questionable. I would treat them like WWE and leave them off to give exposure to other wrestlers. And Traci Brooks has health problems that prevent her from wrestling much. That's why TNA has changed her role. As much as I like Sarah Stock, other than SHIMMER, she wrestles full time for CMLL in Mexico so she doesn't really qualify. If he's going to include her, he should include Wesna. When you add it all up, he's a moron.
