NOTES: SHIMMER would like to thank all of the dedicated fans from around the world who filled the Eagles Club on two consecutive days for our final tapings of 2011. Those who attended live saw a total of 49 women athletes compete in a total of 54 matches over the course of the two days of tapings… We would also like to thank Michael Anthony's Restaurant & Bar in Berwyn for hosting our after party on both nights, on very short notice… Photographers Gilda Pasquil and Buddy LaMantia were on hand for the duration of the weekend. Some of their photos have already begun to surface at The SHIMMER Forum at www.SHIMMERathletes.com and more will be added during the coming weeks… Serena Deeb unfortunately suffered what was later determined to be a concussion toward the conclusion of her bout against Yumi Ohka on Volume 44. Serena has made the very wise decision to stay out of the ring until doctors feel she is medically cleared to once again participate in professional wrestling. The entire SHIMMER locker room wishes Serena the very best, and a speedy recovery… New SHIMMER Tag Team Champions Ayako Hamada & Ayumi Kurihara have expressed interest in keeping the titles active in Japan during the SHIMMER off season… SHIMMER would like to extend a "thank you" to officials from WWE, ROH, TNA, SMASH, JWP, and Pro-Wrestling WAVE for allowing the roster for these tapings to be as complete as it was… An additional "thanks" goes out to Madison Eagles for being such a tremendous representative of both SHIMMER and women's professional wrestling as a whole during her reign as SHIMMER Champion… Sara Del Rey and Cheerleader Melissa remain the only two women to have wrestled on all 44 SHIMMER Volumes... The post production process is already underway for all four DVDs filmed during the course of the weekend. The estimated release of Volumes 41 & 42 of the series is mid December… Look for SHIMMER to return to live action at the Eagles Club in the Spring of 2012, for the taping of Volumes 45-48.
If you attended the SHIMMER 41-44 tapings, post your thoughts in the following thread at The SHIMMER Forum...

Post-match, Martinez also laid her out with the Fisherman Buster before returning to the locker room. Athena declared on the microphone that when her leg is healed, she will be coming after Martinez for some payback.
10. KANA defeated LUFISTO via referee stoppage after she passed out in the Kana Lock. After the match, LuFisto offered her hand to Kana, and was the first SHIMMER wrestler to be granted a handshake from Kana in a sign of respect.
11. BRITANI KNIGHT defeated SARAYA KNIGHT with the Knight Light (modified DDT) in a No Disqualification Match which saw the fight spill all over the venue.
12. SHIMMER Tag Team Champions AYAKO HAMADA & AYUMI KURIHARA defeated "The Canadian Ninjas" PORTIA PEREZ & NICOLE MATTHEWS when Kurihara pinned Perez with the Uranage to retain the SHIMMER Tag Team Championship (their 3rd defense).
13. CHEERLEADER MELISSA defeated SHIMMER Champion MADISON EAGLES (in her 10th defense) by countering Hell Bound into a sunset flip to become the 4th SHIMMER Champion. After celebrating around ringside with the fans, Melissa was attacked from behind by NICOLE MATTHEWS, who sent Melissa into the guardrail, threw her back inside the ring, and gave her the Vancouver Maneuver on the title belt.
