Everyone at SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES would like to congratulate Tenille on signing a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. The Melbourne, Australia native relocated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada to train under Lance Storm at Storm Wrestling Academy prior to expanding her schedule to include competing regularly for both SHIMMER and ECCW in the Vancouver area in 2009. Tenille will also be featured on the reality television series "World of Hurt" which completed filming prior to her signing with WWE. Best of luck to Tenille on her future in professional wrestling!    |

Bittersweet news for Shimmer fans, of course. But have to think of the wrestlers first.

Yay!! Albeit, yay in that conflicted way that's always the case when I hear this news about a wrestler. On the one hand, I always want me favourite wrestlers to do well and wish them all the success in the world - but at the same time, it's always hard to have much faith in the WWE when it comes to talented women. And now I'm extra bummed that she ain't gonna be on Vols 37-40.  Hey ho, fingers crossed the WWE finally get a clue this time around and Tenille achieves the success she deserves!! |

Tenille is a perfect fit for the WWE, she could be the new (albeit blonde and Australian) Mickie. I don't see her in developmental for too long, maybe a year or two, but you never know. There's going to be a lot of Divas gone in a few months after WWE do their annual spring cleaning. Most of the Divas who don't make it past FCW are the ones without a wrestling background. The model types are usually the victims when they get signed to developmental deals.
Johnny Ace redeems himself just days after he hired another worthless model. Way to go!

Every time a Shimmer wrestler signs to WWE I hope just a few more people look up their history and realise how much talent is in that Berwyn club. Considering how much of a mainstream type of hottie Tenille is, she hopefully won't be mishandled like some others in the past. Here's hoping for a bright future, even if she is an Aussie  |
